I Understand the Value of a Dollar

Economic uncertainty is very real.
Families are dealing with higher costs, businesses are dealing with changing markets, and tariffs and trade uncertainty are making it harder to know what the next year will bring. The Bank of Canada has reported that some Canadian businesses have postponed expansion plans because of this uncertainty.
I understand that municipal and regional taxes are only one part of the overall tax burden we face. Provincial and federal taxes, inflation and the cost of everyday necessities can have an even bigger impact on a family's budget.
But that doesn't mean we should ignore the taxes we can control.
I believe Grimsby needs a strong voice on Council—one that is prepared to challenge spending, question priorities and push for lower costs.
My commitment is straightforward: work to lower municipal taxes, push the Region to control its spending and lower its tax burden, and use our collective voice to encourage the Province to do the same.
We can't control the economy or international tariffs from the Council table.
But we can control how responsibly we spend your money.
When times are uncertain, every dollar matters.
